Once again, we must say goodbye to a dear friend and fellow re-enactor. Danny Lewis passed
away Thursday night, December 11, 2003, at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife, Myra
Lewis, also a re-enactor. Danny spent most of his time with the Compagnie Franche de Fort
Toulouse as a French Marine and had recently joined the 1814 group at Fort Jackson. Danny,
we'll miss you.
"Danny was a good friend, I'll miss him sorely. Fare ye well my friend." - Craig
"I am very saddened to hear of the loss of my dear friend. Danny was always one
of my favorite people at Toulouse, my biggest regret is not getting to spend
more time with him." - Don D.
"Something I remember about Danny was one time in the Commadant's Quarters...
somehow we were talking about Richard, and how popular he was with everyone there. And
Danny said, 'plus the fact that he's just so darn adorable..." Then he said, kinda sheepishly, 'Did I
say that out loud?' I never was sure if he was serious or not - too funny!" - Linda
